Shadows of Seattle

Serious Trouble

Shortly after accepting the assignment, Boomer received a message from Ravenscar. Ravenscar told about the attempt to seize him, but claimed not to know why. He wanted the rest of the group to help, and informed that he was hiding out in Ghoul Country. The group met him there, and got him back to a warehouse near The Village. While the rest of the group tried to calm him down, Rokun messaged the Johnson, asking where they should hand him over.

The Johnson asked them to leave Ravenscar, and that he would send some people. The group left the warehouse, though Gorak left a watcher spirit to keep an eye on Ravenscar. No sooner had the group left the warehouse, than the watcher spirit returned to inform that Ravenscar was running away. The group caught up with him in an open area behind the warehouse, and Gorak summoned up an Earth spirit in the form of an oak tree to restrain him. Which worked pretty well.

That’s when an unmarked Skytrain choppered in. The group was unconcerned as they watched the hovering aircraft, expecting it to be the pickup. However, then the side door opened up revealing two people with sniper rifles. Before anyone could react, they opened fire, pumping two rounds into Ravenscar who was still trapped by the spirit, and one round into each of Gorak and Crush.

The following battle was very quick. Boomer manged to take down one of the snipers, before Gorak unleashed a fire spirit inside the vehicle. The skytrain quickly pulled away, but didn’t get far before it plunged to the earth, exploding in satisfying fashion.

Ravenscar died from his injuries, but the others were patched up by Chicago and are on their way into hiding. Probably a good idea to lay low for a few months.

Ecoterrorist Trouble

The group, sans Ravenscar, had a very interesting meet today. They were to log on to a hidden server, where they talked with a faceless Johnson. The Johnson informed them that Ravenscar was part of the GreenWar ecoterrorist cell that attacked the Olympia Fusion Reactor in 2063. The Johnson had already tried to apprehend Ravenscar, but he had managed to get away. Seeing as how the group had been colleagues of Ravenscar’s for a time, the Johnson hoped that they would be able to do better. If the group could apprehend him, and hand him over, they would be handsomely rewarded.

Given Ravenscar’s newly revealed background, the group accepted, and began a search for him.

Dead snakes

Seems like Boomer and the boys may have been up to no good recently. Rumors say that they headed out and destroyed the Purple Cobras. Would make sense, seeing how they burned down Boomer’s shop. And Boomer did mention the same day that he needed a contact for getting rid of some vehicles.

Nice work boys.

Wise Choice

The client did find the Yak presence interesting and approached the team with a job to secure some data from a computer in a Yakuza safehouse. The group didn’t quite consider themselves ready for such a job, and, in my opinion, wisely said so.

Baby Steps

So today I gathered a little group consisting of Boomer, Rokun, Crush, Gorak and Ravenscar. Complete newbies most of them, but they did fine. Job was a simple retrieval. The Black Bears gang had acquired a suitcase that didn’t belong to them, and stashed it at a drug production facility they were running.

The team attempted diplomacy first, and when that didn’t work Crush and one of Gorak’s spirits let loose. A bit excessive, but I don’t think a single ganger left there alive, including Black Claw the gang’s leader. There’ll be hell to pay from Black Claw’s brother if he ever finds out who did it.

A couple of Yakuza also dropped in, and was smeared by Crush. The client might find this interest..
